Danny was born in the Orange County suburb of Anaheim Hills, California, on February 7th, 1990, to parents Abeba and Raphael Benvegnu. From 2008-2012, Danny attended Carnegie Mellon University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating, Danny did what most college graduates do… work. He was hired by Bechtel, the world’s leading Engineering, Construction & Project Management firm, where he helped build and manage several multi-billion dollar construction projects in the Oil & Gas sector. His work took him around the world, but he ultimately felt unfulfilled and unhappy and wished to do something more meaningful with his life.
In 2017, Danny resigned from his job and moved back to California after a 10-year absence. It was there that he discovered his purpose: giving back and being of service to others. This led him to start the world’s first Cannabis Temple in 2018, called Agora Temple, a non-profit dedicated to helping its members grow into the best versions of themselves through intentional cannabis use, community service, and member outreach. By the end of 2021, Agora had survived the pandemic, grown to over 40,000 members worldwide, and raised over $5,000,000 in charitable donations.
During this time, Danny also started his business consulting firm, Manifest Management, with the purpose of assisting new entrepreneurs by providing the support and resources needed to build intentional, sustainable, and scalable businesses. In 2022, Danny created 503DTLA on his birthday, which originally started as a photography studio business in downtown Los Angeles and later grew into a property management company managing luxury production spaces throughout Southern California. By the summer of 2023, the business had grown considerably and transitioned into a real estate investment firm. The company now owns and manages over 20 luxury production spaces throughout Los Angeles, ranging from private mansions and estates to rooftops and studios. It plans to expand into New York City and Miami by mid-2024 and has already begun groundwork in NYC.
Although his journey as a business owner has had its challenges, Danny believes that it was ultimately his unwillingness to give up that has allowed him to find success in several different industries. Danny says, “Find what makes you truly happy and do that. Believe in yourself! Believe in yourself even when no one else believes in you. Continue to believe in yourself even when things get difficult. Learn to see adversity as an opportunity for growth. Get a little better each day. Anything is possible in this life if you stay consistent and never give up!”
