I’ve always been fascinated by the way a little transformation can completely change how someone feels about themselves. Watching someone light up after a fresh color or style is what hooked me early on. It’s not just about hair or makeup, but about confidence, identity, and showing up as your best self. I knew pretty quickly this was where I belonged.

How would you describe your philosophy when it comes to beauty and self-expression?

Beauty should always enhance who you are, not hide it. My approach is about creating effortless, natural-feeling transformations that still make a statement. I love helping people feel like the most confident version of themselves, polished, but still themselves.

How did you develop your signature approach to blonding, extensions, and luxury makeup?

A lot of trial, error, education, and obsession. I’ve spent years fine-tuning my eye for tone, blend, and balance. With blonding, it’s all about maintaining the health of the hair while achieving that bright, expensive-looking tone. For extensions, I focus on seamless placement and movement. I want them to look like they grew out of your scalp. My makeup style mirrors that same vibe: soft, elevated, and luxurious without ever feeling overdone.

What does the word “luxury” mean to you in your work?

Luxury is in the details. It’s the experience, the energy, the results, everything being intentional from start to finish. I want my clients to feel seen, taken care of, and elevated. It’s not just a service; it’s an experience that feels customized, calm, and high-end.

How did it feel to be recognized as a BTC Top 100 finalist?

Honestly, surreal. It was such a proud moment, one of those reminders that all the long hours, the dedication, and the love I pour into my craft really matter. To be recognized alongside so many talented artists felt incredible and pushed me to keep raising the bar.

What do you think sets your artistry apart in such a competitive industry?

I think it’s the mix of technical precision and genuine connection. I care about the details just as much as I care about how my clients feel when they leave. Every foil, every blend, every extension placement is done with intention, but I also make sure the energy behind the chair feels personal and real.

How do you balance artistry and technical precision in your work?

They go hand in hand. The artistry is what you see, the vibe, the movement, the finish, but the technical side is what makes it last and keeps the hair healthy. You can’t have one without the other, and I take pride in mastering both.

How do you create trust and connection with your clients?

By being real. I listen to what they want, what they’ve had in the past, and what they’re nervous about. I explain what’s possible, what’s not, and how we’ll get there safely. My goal is for clients to feel like they’re being heard and taken care of, not just serviced. That trust builds naturally over time, and it’s what keeps my chair full of the best people.

How has working between Colorado Springs and Denver shaped your perspective as a stylist?

It’s given me such a unique balance. Colorado Springs has this cozy, loyal, small-town energy, while Denver keeps me connected to fresh trends and a faster pace. Working between both has made me versatile, I get to blend luxury with approachability, and I love that mix.

What do you love most about the process of transformation?

That moment when a client looks in the mirror and their whole energy shifts, that’s it. Seeing someone go from uncertain to confident, from quiet to glowing, it never gets old. It’s not just hair or makeup, but how it makes them feel afterward.

How do you stay creatively inspired while managing the demands of your career and family life?

My family is my balance. I have three teenagers, and they keep me grounded and inspired in the best ways. We love hiking, camping, and just spending time together outdoors, it’s where I reset and find perspective. It’s what keeps my creativity from burning out and reminds me why I do what I do.

How do you approach each client’s appointment to make it feel personal and unique?

Every appointment starts with a conversation. I want to know what their day-to-day looks like, what they love, what they don’t have time for, and how they want to feel. Then I create a custom plan that fits their lifestyle, not just a trend. My goal is that every person leaves feeling like the look was designed specifically for them (because it was).

What continues to motivate you in this ever-evolving beauty industry?

Growth. I’m always chasing the next level, better techniques, better experiences, better results. But what really drives me is the impact. Helping people feel beautiful and confident in their own skin never gets old.
