There was never a thought of writing a book or publishing it for all to see, but then, that’s precisely what happened to Sharon Williams. When most great-grandmothers are at Bingo or playing with their grandchildren, Sharon Williams felt the need to reach others to refuel their belief in Christ. Since the age of five, she has known Christ as her protector and savior. Seeing how the world had changed with wars pending and political divide, she wanted us to remember the sacrifice and love Jesus gave for us. To remember to open the Bible and draw closer to God. We must be mindful of the Holy Spirit as our mentor and conscious of the fact that we are all God’s creation. God has put His name within our genetic code as any creator would want to lay claim to their finished work…which God calls “good”. We need to be reminded that we are His.

This was the message Sharon Williams wanted to refresh in the minds of others when she wrote about the three-year ministry of Jesus. She begins with His birth and follows through to His ascension. Her love for her fellow man has been expressed by leading a bible study group for the past ten years, volunteering for Hospice, and walking alongside others during difficult times as a Stephen Minister through her church. She’s recently started a “grief” session for those who have lost loved ones. She understands the difficulties others experience, and she wants to remind each of us of the strength we can draw from by turning to God in our time of need. Sharon Williams studied Theology at Indianapolis University, but her real curriculum comes from her personal experiences in which she was allowed to see how real and active God is in our current day. So many times, God shows Himself, but we fail to see it. Staying in the Word of the bible and seeking Him allows us more acuity as God works in our lives.
Sharon Williams hopes that the book “Because He Loved Us” will clarify God’s message and His teaching so that we may all be a light unto the world.
ABOUT HER BOOK "BECAUSE HE LOVED US"

Because He Loved Us by Sharon Williams is a heartfelt and insightful exploration of Jesus’ life, teachings, and enduring love. Rooted in years of personal study and service as a Stephen Minister, Williams draws from her theological education and spiritual experiences to unpack the deeper meaning behind key moments in Jesus’ ministry. The book delves into His parables, miracles, and encounters with individuals from all walks of life, shedding light on the love, compassion, forgiveness, and redemption that lie at the heart of His message.
Williams approaches scripture with both reverence and curiosity, aiming to make the Bible more accessible and meaningful to modern readers. She emphasizes that Jesus’ teachings are not distant stories, but living words meant to transform hearts and lives. Through thoughtful reflections and practical insights, Because He Loved Us invites readers to see Jesus not just as a historical figure, but as a personal Savior whose love is active and constant. This book is ideal for Christians seeking to deepen their faith And develop a more intimate relationship with Christ. By understanding the grace Jesus offers, readers can begin to see the Bible not as a confusing or outdated text, but as a life-giving guide filled with hope, truth, and love.
The book carefully examines Jesus’ parables, miracles, and personal interactions, illuminating the messages of compassion, forgiveness, and redemption that remain central to Christian life. Williams encourages readers to reflect on how these lessons apply to their own spiritual paths, making the scriptures come alive in a new and relevant way.
One of the book’s central themes is the unconditional love of Christ. Williams emphasizes that Jesus’ actions and words were motivated by this divine love, a love that continues to reach out to every believer today. Her writing is not only informative but also emotionally resonant, making complex theological ideas accessible to readers at any stage of their faith journey. The book serves as a reminder that scripture, when read with openness and faith.
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH SHARON WILLIAMS
VORAKA: What inspired you to write Because He Loved Us despite never planning to become an author?
SHARON: For some, reading the bible may not be appealing. However, the insight into the teachings of Jesus is priceless in helping us cope with life's difficulties and spiritual disciplines. Therefore, understanding the thought behind some of His teachings brings new life into the Word as the book takes the reader on a journey of His three-year ministry and beyond.
VORAKA: How did your personal experiences shape the way you tell the story of Jesus’ ministry?
SHARON: Starting at the age of five, I knew of Jesus and looked upon Him as a protector. I have always known Jesus to be by my side, as He is just a breath away. Many times, I have leaned into His strength to come out of difficulties, and He continues
to amaze me.
VORAKA: What do you hope readers take away from your book and apply to their daily lives?
SHARON: My hope is that they realize the love that Jesus has shown to each of us by taking our sins to the cross and destroying any barrier that would separate us from God the Father. Thus assuring us of an eternity with Him. Secondly, I would hope that we would all acquire a humble heart with Christ-like characteristics.
VORAKA: What was the most challenging part of writing about Jesus’ life and ministry?
Writing about the crucifixion was difficult. I’m reminded of man’s cruelty to others.
VORAKA: How do you see God working in the modern world, and why do you believe many fail to recognize it?
SHARON: This world and its values filter out the recognition of God’s prompting. Our busy lives are another barrier as we see immorality seep into our homes through TV, iPhones, and the misuse of Artificial Intelligence.
VORAKA: Why do you believe it is important to remind people that we are all God’s creation?
SHARON: Because if you love one another, you want others to know Jesus and follow His ways. You want to see growth in spiritual development, and hopefully, this would be helpful in bringing peace to our Earth. We need to stop division and focus on unity, as we are all one in God’s eyes.
VORAKA: How can people strengthen their faith and draw closer to God in today’s divided world?
SHARON: Let go of earthly desires, see others as God sees them, allow God to lead your life (and that’s a difficult one), but if you can do this, your love will deepen as God will stir your wants and needs to reflect his ways. Stay in the Word of the bible todisarm our unseen enemy not made of flesh and blood.
VORAKA: What impact do you hope your book will have on those struggling with their beliefs?
SHARON: I Belief in God can be a life’s journey with peaks and valleys. If you are having trouble seeing God in your life, try journaling. Keep a record of some kind to help in identifying God’s participation. For those reading my book, I hope my explanation of His parables and teachings will bring clarity as to our outlook into eternity.
VORAKA: What role does the Holy Spirit play in guiding people through life’s challenges?
SHARON: The Holy Spirit is our mentor and much more. It can be our conscience and guide. By continuously seeking God, you will become more sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, which may prevent any misunderstanding of God’s plan for you.
VORAKA: What advice would you give to someone who wants to deepen their understanding of the Bible?
SHARON: My best advice is to stay in the word every day or evening. Keep communication to God open during the day. Why not just talk to God all day long. Do we have to say “amen” when praying…No! Keep the lines of communication open and ask God to show you the answers you seek when reading the bible.
